July Nutrition Challenge Tip of the Day:
Ever get hungry but you’re away from the comfort of your own fridge/pantry? Bring a snack with you! Apples, oranges, and bananas travel well and don’t need to be refrigerated. Mixed nuts (almonds, cashews, pecans, etc.) along with some no-sugar-added dried fruits makes for a great trail mix. If you insist on having a go-to bar to grab from your backpack or purse, make sure it’s made from whole food ingredients. Larabars and RXBars are awesome, just to name a couple, and they don’t contain added sweeteners or disguised junk; just fruits, nuts, and natural flavors like coconut and cinnamon.
