WOD Friday, September 18

When Emily and Kief asked me to be the Spotlight Athlete for September of 2014 after a hiatus from the monthly-recurring profile, they gave me much praise for the attributes of the designation. I was greatly humbled by the selection and wanted to recall my reply, as I was and still am very grateful. Here was my reply:

Everything you described is just a testimony of the dedication, knowledge, care, and compassion you give to all members whether just starting On Ramp or seasoned veteran. I truly appreciate all you stand for and can not be more grateful for how you’ve opened up to me over the last 15+ months. Connex has been a life-changing experience for me and I look forward to every day because I know there will be another challenge that I am able to conquer with your help and guidance. Thank you again for everything you’ve done to help me get where I am today and in advance for where I am headed in the future, as the roots began at Badger Road and have continued to grow at Perry Street.

To this day, I still hold these beliefs. Emily and Kief have opened so many doors for my own personal development, and I am honored to be able to continue carrying CrossFit Connex into the future. I want to extended my deepest thank you to the both of them for building such an exceptional community and setting forth an amazing environment for all of us to improve and grow. I use their success as a motivator for myself as a coach, and will continue to utilize that motivation in carrying the Connex Torch.

Thank you to Emily and Kief, from the deepest part of my being. I can not express how grateful to be in this position I am. I wish you the best of luck on your journey.
