Chicago, here we come!

As many of you know, Emily has qualified to compete in the North Central Regional.   We were not able to really celebrate her being in the top 48 until yesterday, when she found out that her video had been accepted.  Each regional athlete had to submit a video of themselves performing WOD 14.4.  All videos  have to be judged and  then are deemed either accepted, rejected, or score modified.  Sense Ems video was given the gold star (Kief was even given a shout out in the notification email with the judge asking to borrow her hype man for next years OPEN.) she has earned her spot to compete at the 2014 regional competition.  This competition takes place in Chicago from May 9-11.  There is nothing more she wants then to have the Connex community right there with her cheering her on.  Tickets for the event can be purchased online  here.

Thank you to everyone who helped support Em through these last five weeks!  Although many of us knew she could make it, Em doubted herself along the way, but the support and encouragement that you all gave her was exactly what she needed in order to keep on fighting.  Your cheers during WODs, posts on Facebook, emails, texts, and phone calls, were all just some of the ways you let her know that you believed in her.   A big shout out to Justin G. who not only judged most of her workouts, but also took care of the filming and was on call for every attempt in improving her scores.  He truly is the #1 judge around!  Thank you Connex so much for all that you guys did to help get Connex our first regional athlete and get Emily to Chicago!!
