WOD Wednesday, January 16

There has been lots of conversation around the box recently about what Paleo is and how following the Paleo lifestyle will effect your daily nutritional habits.  Before you go off the handle in disbelief that you will possibly be committing to 30 days with out grain, dairy, and beer here are some tips

1.  Educate yourself.  Research what foods ARE Paleo.  There is a huge and healthy list of meats, veggies, and fruits that can fill your stomach the way your body needs.  See if you can “paleolize” some of your favorite recipes or staple meals.  The Paleo diet is comprised of the most natural and nutritious foods on the planet and the recipes of healthy and wholesome meals is endless.

2.  Change your attitude.  Attack the 30 days with the right attitude and mind set.  Eating a Paleo diet means you ARE eating unprocessed, lean meat, vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds.   Don’t focus on what you can not eat, be proud of the fact that you are putting healthy/nutritious food into your body, rather then processed, nutrient deprived food.   Its all about your mind set and how you approach the 30 days.

3.  Commit to 30 Days! These 30 days are designed to help you feel energized, balanced, strong, and lean.  You are committing to this Challenge for you and only you!   By coming to CFC you have made a commitment to your health, however no matter how hard you workout, you will never be able to out exercise a poor diet.  Use these 30 days to reflect on your own dietary habits.
