Just a reminder that if you would like to participate in the Manage the Damage Challenge this holiday season you must let us know before Thanksgiving! We have a couple of people already on board. The details are below.
The holiday season is upon us! Thanksgiving is next week and after that it will be a whirlwind of events, dinners and celebrations that are centered around food and alcohol. The holiday season is fun and delicious, however often results in weight gain for most people. Statistics have reported that the average person usually gains a whopping 7-10 pounds during the holidays and often their New Year’s resolution to lose it only lasts about 2 weeks.
The Manage the Damage challenge is designed to help all of us stay on track with our fitness goals through this busy, stressful, and food filled time of year. It is also going to help us begin gearing up for the Paleo Challenge that will start in January.
So here is the deal if you so choose to accept it! Each participant can win the challenge and the prize will be a new crucial Connex t shirt that only challenge winners can sport. In order to win a t-shirt there are three things each participant must accomplish before January 2.
1. No more then a 2 pound weight gain. (participants will weight in before Thanksgiving and again after the new year)
2. Participants must set a goal and achieve/accomplish the goal set. (ex. I will workout three times a week, I will do be able to do 2 strict pull ups, I will increase my deadlift by 5 pounds)
3. And you must complete 45 days of suck which includes 1 push up on the first day, 2 on the second day, 3 on the third day and so on!
This challenge is a great way to stay focused during this busy time of year. As schedules get tight and social calendars fill up, it is easy to put fitness on the back burner. Do not use this time of year to get lazy, instead use it as motivation to continue to get stronger fitter and faster!
